Santiago Scalloped Bedside Table - My Tiny Estate Edition
Adjusted taxes, and duties included. Shipping calculated at checkout.
A special edition of our Santiago Scalloped Bedside, created in collaboration with Dean and Borja for the Dower House at My Tiny Estate. This version carries the familiar language of the Santiago collection, with soft curves, scalloped edges, and quiet detailing, but each element has been gently reinterpreted to suit the character of the house. Along each scallop, we introduced a delicate beaded carving, developed together with Dean and Borja, to bring a finer, more subtle outline to the shape. The carving catches the light softly, casting gentle shadows that add depth and texture to the design.

The Journey of Our Pieces
From Timber to Heirloom
To create our pieces, we follow a considered journey, from the first choice of timber through to the final hand-finished touch. Each stage is shaped by craft, tradition, and a lasting respect for materials, resulting in furniture made to endure for generations.

Choosing the Grain
We begin at local yards, walking through stacks of logs to find timber with depth and beauty, each board responsibly forested and chosen by hand for its grain, tone, and strength, matched carefully to the role it will serve in the finished piece.

Crafting the Frame
Traditional joinery is carefully blended with modern techniques, guided by lessons from restoration and an understanding of what truly endures, so that every joint is resilient and every structure built with longevity in mind.

Building the Drawers
Entirely solid, dovetailed boxes run on a timber-made system, designed to glide smoothly and last for generations. Their interiors are protected but not stained, allowing easy restoration and revealing the natural character of the wood.

Shaping the Details
From beads and mouldings to the turning of a leg, the finer elements are crafted by hand with care and precision. Each cut and curve carries subtle variations of touch, giving individuality to the piece and a richness that builds across its form, ensuring no two are ever quite the same.

Bringing Out the Grain
Natural oils and stains are worked patiently by hand, chosen to protect the timber while allowing its grain to remain open and alive. This approach preserves the depth and movement of the wood, giving each surface a richness that matures over time and a finish that feels both enduring and true.

Completing the Piece
Each design is finished with materials chosen to complement its form, from solid brass fittings to marble tops, glass panels, or mirrors. These elements are selected for permanence as much as beauty, bringing balance and integrity that ground the furniture with a lasting sense of elegance.
