The Sintra Bobbin Writing Desk was designed to perfectly balance the intricate lines of our signature bobbin from the Sintra Collection with a timeless design that highlights the depth, texture, and patterns of the characterful timber we use.

Our goal was to create a piece that makes a statement in any setting, adding a tactile and unique element with classy and elegant details, and an ethereal sentiment while remaining functional.

The exquisite materials and remarkable construction make this piece a true pleasure to use. The large worktop and full-extension soft-close drawers ensure that movement is fluid and easy, making it the most inspiring and comfortable place to write and work.

The listed cost includes a one man delivery service, who will bring the crate to your door on any floor. Antique Inspired Design

The first idea for this piece originated from one of our antique restoration/customization projects. We fell in love with the exquisite bobbin pattern found on the antique and the final result. So, we took a little sample of the leg and brought it to our talented wood turner along with a simple design and there and then the Sintra Collection was born.

Hand Turned Bobbin Legs

To create our signature bobbin pattern, we hand-turn each leg from a carefully selected solid block of wood. This traditional process shapes each curve individually, ensuring a natural flow and a strikingly consistent yet unique pattern. This infuses our pieces with a distinctive air of uniqueness and character.

Bobbin Trim (Optional)

For a touch of texture and a playful twist, you can add a gorgeous bobbin trim frame to the drawers

 A Choice of Solid Woods and 5 Unique Tones

For this collection, we have sourced the highest quality English oak and walnut to create our pieces. Our in-house developed wood tones are exclusive to our brand and are designed to enhance the grains of our timbers, creating the most elegant, natural-looking shades. Whether you prefer an antique look, a modern aesthetic, or a mixture of both, chances are we have created a tone that is perfect for your home.

Choice Of Hardware

To complete this beautiful design, we offer a selection of hardware that can transform the style of the piece and make a remarkable impact. Every part of this piece, from the bottoms of the drawers to the rails, joints in the structure, and panels on the back, is crafted from carefully selected and joined solid wood. This approach not only allows for the incorporation of beautiful traditional joinery but also produces furniture that remains impeccable for generations and maintains its value over time.

The drawers in this piece are beautifully joined using dovetail wood joints, the strongest type of traditional joinery for drawers, and installed using the most stable high-end soft-close runners we could find. These come with manufacturers lifetime warranty and will ensure a smooth action every time and guarantee it remains that way forever.
