An early 19th-century mahogany gallery tray with a shaped raised edge and gently curved oval form, lightly restored in our studio to preserve its surface and accentuate its lovely original patina. The tray is made from richly toned solid cuban mahogany, with a softly undulating gallery and a pair of cast brass handles that have aged beautifully over time. The proportions are generous without feeling oversized, and the surface carries the kind of depth that only time can produce. Suitable for use as a drinks tray or tabletop, or simply as a decorative accent, it remains both functional and full of character.
