A charming and traditional antique cabinet, crafted from solid character oak and featuring stunning bobbin legs and moulded panels.

This piece was a permanent fixture in a Sussex home, inherited as an antique from the parents as a housewarming gift. It was offered to us in the hope of restoring and giving it new life. Upon inspecting the cabinet, we recognised the markers of a remarkably well-built piece—traditional joinery, solid timber, and beautifully hand-turned legs—all elements that make it the type of furniture we love to restore.

Description

Carefully restored in our West Sussex workshop, the cabinet was fully dismantled and reassembled by an experienced restorer to ensure its structural integrity and full functionality. Each panel was replaced using antique timber, and the trims were carefully reapplied to honour its original design.

To complete the project, we restored a set of beautifully detailed solid brass handles with a beaded backplate and painted the interior in our signature Joa’s White, adding a touch of modernity while offering a practical and light interior. With three spacious shelves, this cabinet combines timeless craftsmanship with everyday functionality, providing ample storage while remaining a striking focal point for any room.
