Bespoke Commissions

We believe that creating furniture with character and soul begins with understanding that each piece will become part of someone’s home and reflect the space, the person behind it, and their way of living. Our bespoke service was designed with this in mind, offering a simple, transparent process suited both to private clients and to architects or interior designers working on larger projects with specific requirements.

Our Process

1. Briefing & Concept

In the briefing and concept stage, we focus on gaining a clear and thorough understanding of your requirements, the space, and your vision for the project. We use the form below as a starting point but follow it with detailed conversations to clarify priorities, constraints, and any specific considerations. This stage allows us to build a complete picture before developing an initial concept and providing a preliminary figure for approval, ensuring both scope and expectations are clear before moving into the full design process.

2. Design development

Once the concept and initial figure are approved, we move into detailed design development. We create adaptable drawings that capture the character and proportions of the piece while leaving room for precise refinements later. At this stage, we provide preliminary technical drawings with overall dimensions and high-quality renders to help you visualise the design in context. Where needed, we can also supply files compatible with professional design software so the piece can be reviewed within larger project plans before progressing to the final technical stage and production.

3. Samples & Approval

Before moving into production, we send out material samples where required so you can review the exact finishes, textures, and tones that will be used. Alongside this, we prepare a detailed final quotation based on the completed design. This figure may differ slightly from the initial estimate as it reflects the confirmed materials and specifications, giving you a precise and transparent cost for the finished piece. Once everything is reviewed and approved, we issue an invoice for payment prior to beginning the final technical stage and production.

4. Final Design and Production

Once the design has been fully developed and approved, we prepare the final technical drawings with exact dimensions and specifications for every component, ensuring absolute clarity before production begins. For larger projects, we can also provide files compatible with professional design software so the piece can be integrated seamlessly into wider plans. With everything confirmed, the making process begins in our workshop, typically taking 16–20 weeks depending on complexity and scale. Throughout this stage, we maintain clear communication so you have full visibility as your piece moves from final design to completion.
