A vintage mahogany triptych dressing mirror in the Queen Anne taste, dating from the early 20th century. The three plates are beautifully framed in mahogany with shaped, stepped arched tops, and the silvering has aged softly, with light spotting congruent with its years. The outer panels swing forward on brass hinges to whatever angle suits, and the mirror rests on scrolled bracket feet at the centre with a turned baluster foot beneath each wing.

Lightly restored in West Sussex and in good working order, so the panels swing and hold wherever you set them. The mahogany has darkened to a warm, even colour and carries the small knocks and marks of ordinary use. It folds flat when it is not wanted and opens wide when it is, generous enough to dress by properly and handsome enough to leave standing on a chest or dressing table.
