7. RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
Thank you for choosing Attica Studios. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Your satisfaction is our priority.
Returns Eligibility
This Policy applies to all products bought through our website within mainland Great Britain.
Right to Cancel
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order from the moment of placement and within 14 days following the day after the items are delivered. For items returned within the 14-day period, we will process the refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back.
Attica Studios reserves the right to cancel an order before delivery in exceptional circumstances, such as product unavailability or unforeseen production or delivery issues. In such cases, we will offer a prompt refund or suitable alternative.
Made to Order and Bespoke Items
Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised. Accordingly, all made-to-order and bespoke items are non-refundable and non-cancellable once production has commenced, regardless of whether the order was placed online, by telephone, or in person.
By placing an order for a made-to-order or bespoke item, you confirm that you understand and accept that your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply to that order. This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
Return Process
To initiate a return, please notify us in writing at info@atticastudios.co.uk within 14 days of receiving the product. After informing us of your decision to return, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Returned items must be in their original, unused, undamaged condition, complete with all original packaging, accessories, and labels, accompanied by proof of purchase. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
If you discover a fault within the first 30 days of receipt, you are entitled to a full refund. Within the first six months, we will be given the opportunity to carry out a repair or replacement before a refund is considered. After six months, the responsibility lies with you to demonstrate that the fault was present at the time of purchase.
Refund Process
Upon receiving and inspecting the returned product, we will process a refund to the original payment method within 14 days. The refund will cover the product price and any applicable delivery charges, less any return shipping costs and any deduction for significant damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Exclusions
This Return and Refund Policy does not apply to customised or personalised products made to your specifications, as set out in the Made to Order and Bespoke Items section above. If, however, such items are of unsatisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, please contact our support team and you will not be liable for return costs in such cases.
Damaged or Defective Products
If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact our customer support team promptly, providing photographic evidence of the issue. We will offer a repair, replacement, or full refund including shipping charges where appropriate.
Customer Responsibility for Access and Installation
It is the sole responsibility of the customer to ensure, prior to placing an order, that the purchased item can be safely delivered to, manoeuvred within, and installed in the intended location. This includes ensuring that doorways, corridors, staircases, lifts, and any other access points are of sufficient size to allow passage of the item, and that the final location can accommodate the piece in terms of dimensions, weight, and structural requirements.
Attica Studios accepts no liability for any failure to deliver or install an item arising from insufficient access at the delivery address, including but not limited to: narrow doorways or corridors; restricted stairwells or lifts; building regulations or restrictions; or any other physical or structural limitation at the property. In such circumstances, no refund will be issued, and any costs associated with the failed delivery attempt, including re-delivery or storage fees, shall be borne by the customer.
We strongly recommend that customers take precise measurements of all access routes and the intended space before placing an order. Where there is any doubt, customers are encouraged to contact us before purchasing so that we can advise on the dimensions and logistics of any particular piece.
Long Term Support & Guarantees
One-Year Guarantee (Restored Furniture)
We offer a one-year guarantee on all Restored furniture against faulty materials and workmanship. This guarantee applies to mainland UK domestic end users only and does not affect your statutory rights.
Limited Lifetime Structural Guarantee (Permanent Collection)
Attica Studios guarantees to the original purchaser that all Permanent Collection furniture items will be free from structural defects for their lifetime, subject to the terms below. A 'structural defect' is defined as an issue in the frame, joints, or support elements of the product that substantially affects its intended use.
This guarantee is limited to the original purchaser at the original delivery address and applies only to products used under normal domestic conditions within the United Kingdom and the European Union. It is non-transferable and becomes void upon product relocation or transfer of ownership. This guarantee does not extend to customers based in the United States of America or any other territory outside of the United Kingdom and European Union.
This guarantee does not cover: normal wear and tear; misuse or improper handling; unauthorised modifications or repairs; changes in wood colour due to ageing or exposure to sunlight; cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, or stains; products used for commercial purposes; or damage resulting from accident or environmental factors beyond normal indoor use.
Claim Process
To make a guarantee claim, contact us within 14 days of discovering the defect at info@atticastudios.co.uk or 01273 752180. Please provide: proof of purchase; your full name and address as original purchaser; a detailed description of the issue; and relevant photographs.
Upon validation of your claim, we will, at our discretion, repair the product, provide a replacement, issue a refund of the original purchase price, or issue a voucher equal to the purchase price. This guarantee is provided in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
