A set of four capiz shell lamp shades, each a scalloped dome of pearlescent shell panels set in fine brass came. Held to the light the shell glows soft and milky, every panel catching it a little differently. It is the scalloped lower edge that gives them their charm, a row of petals running round the rim. Four matched shades, made for a run of pendants over an island or a table, or used singly on smaller fittings.
Honest vintage condition, with light wear and patina to the brass framing consistent with age.
