A large original Victorian mahogany bowfront chest of drawers, dating to the mid 19th century, with book-matched flame mahogany laid across the bowed drawer fronts. It stands on elegant turned feet and is of impressive, traditional solid timber construction, built to split into two parts for ease of transport. The drawers are hand-cut dovetailed in the manner of a fine maker. A piece of real scale and generous proportion, carrying the depth of colour and quiet authority that only good mahogany, well cared for, ever comes to hold.
